Countless life lessons and enjoyable memories can be made from participating in team sports. But why is it that recent studies show that nearly 70% of children will quit athletics by the age of 13?  At Trinity Academy we strive to train the whole child – body, soul, and spirit so that our students don’t become a statistic but instead reap the rewards that teamwork offers.

With every program that Camp Trinity offers, we intentionally create an environment for children to have fun and honor Christ in their actions. Through our Introduction to Team Sports program, Coach Baine Martin is providing a fun and inclusive environment for students to experience the benefits of being an athlete while learning good sportsmanship and utilizing taught strategies. They will be challenged to pursue opportunities that are outside of their comfort zone while being taught how to contribute to the overall success of a team.

During each session, Coach Martin will provide instruction on skills, strategies, and tactics pertaining to the sport of the day (traditional and non-traditional) with the remaining time spent scrimmaging. Participants will learn to effectively manage their role as a team member, while using their experience to help them be successful on and off the field. While we always expect our players to compete hard, our expectation is that each will gain confidence through the effort they give and the process of improving, rather than solely focusing on the outcome of the games.
